Golf is a unique sport.  Unlike other sports, no two golf courses are exactly alike. Football, baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer field dimensions are uniform, fitting exact specifications no matter where you play the sport.

But in golf, the diameter of greens are never the same. Some are smaller, some bigger, rarely are they perfectly round. Not to mention the pin is never in the same position. Distances, hazards, trees, each golf course has its own challenges and aesthetics.

Golf's uniqueness remains steadfast. Only a few number of athletes get to compete in professional baseball or football. But golf is unique. We golfers compete until late in life - long after our prime in other sports has passed.

No matter if we possess a scratch handicap or one above 40, strategizing, yardage calculation, and other course management routines continue in our heads for every shot we take. Its amazing, for a sport to be dominated by such a wide variety of individuals and levels of playing ability.

Find a good teacher that will keep the game fun. Work hard and don't be afraid to have success or disappointment. That is what golf is all about.

Definitions: 'Clinic' and 'Private Lesson':

A "Clinic" is a form of group instruction. The subject of clinics vary and are always geared toward the basics. Regardless of your 'level of proficiency'... if you're a brand new, newbie-noob, to the game of golf or if your a 'seasoned' player... we ALL need the basics and clinics are a great place to work on basic-skills and have a 'supervised practice'.

A "Private Lesson" is as it seems.. an individual lesson.

Food for thought...
NO, things do NOT get worse before they get better and NO, a golf lesson (or clinic) isn't about re-engineering your swing!
